You can use a PSD layered backgroundless for your circle, or you can use the adjustments title drawing tools to create the white circle.įWIW, this is one of the 50 effects that I show you how create, step by step, in my book "tips tricks & Cool hot for first Elements 11", available on Amazon. To create the effect you're trying to create, you put a white circle on a track above the video that you wan to drill a hole and use keyframes to animate its position - and then you add the matte effect to the video and video reference in the white circle. The circle with the transparent background IS the matte, Steve. I think I can understand the effect to create what I want but problem is how you create a circle with a transparent background to layer on the timeline, creating the effect? With the help of Pre11 / PS 11. This may be a question for PhotoShop, but I want to use the matte key track effect to have a cut-out section move on the screen.

Since Premiere Pro does not see the motion in the main sequence (it actually happens in the nested sequence) then it does not bother the track matte effect. Now, you can nest this sequence on the main sequence and apply cache by approach rather than the original item. Then poke the eye towards the matte so that you do not see. Use the gesture on the video just the way you want. The value of the matte on top and set the opacity to 50%. Take the track matte and video that you present a motion in a new sequence. You must make the request in a nested sequence. What would happen if I had, say, 20 different tracks?ĭo not mix of movement and track mattes. As you will see, to get the exact size of the mate to change from one element to another, I had to divide the jpg to mask using the razor and then apply a different scale on this subject. To get a better idea of what I mean, I downloaded a video on YouTube about the issue.

Why does this happen? Is this a bug of version or do something wrong? Scale clip should not be able to get driven approach regardless of the cache? And why is this process done as it should be on After Effects, but not in first? What I discovered is that no matter if I adjust the clip before or after the application of the track matte key, the result is applied to both the mask AND the clip. Now I want to step up in my element in the video track 2, while I focus on another part of it, but with the mask applied and not changed at all. What I need to do, is I want to use the image jpg as a cache, so everything I do is place the three assets on top of the other and then apply a matte video 2, set his pole Video 3, value compositing luma and bingo! My 2 videos on track 1 and 2 are now playing with the mask I put to them. Tracks video 1 and video 2 contain 2 separate clips and video track 3 contains a video cache static jpg (black and white). I would appreciate it if you could help me on the following: a first sequence, I have 3 video tracks. The problem is that it is currently broken and will be fixed in the next version, they told us. That's essentially what I'm trying to do.

The "overlay cache track" problems of this kind? If this is the case, someone has another way to add effects as a part of a clip/scene. Sometimes it previews correctly, sometimes, it does not use the cache at all, and sometimes it seems very well. The "Track Matte key" effect seems to work intermittently. I included my fusion script below as well as a JPG showing screen grabs of my simple test build. Is "Track Matte Key" bug in Premiere CS6? Seems I am not understanding what exact operations are needed. Translating that AE comp to Fusion is a bit of a quandry for me. In After Effects this is super easy (using one layer's alpha as an inverted track matte).
Track matte after effects how to#
Need some help understanding how to create a simple inverted alpha matte. That is where the alpha matte shows back as a slighty opaque overlay. So, I then merge the Boolean output over a BG. Viewing the alpha of the Boolean node shows the desired result. The element being masked by that alpha matte is piped in as the BG. The operation is set to Subtract, "Do nothing" for the RGB, and the To Alpha is set to "Alpha FG." The alpha matte I created is piped into the boolean as the FG. I used a channel boolean to do the combining of the alpha channels. Just need to learn what are the correct operations. But, would like to learn how to build this properly using Channel Boolean. The workaround is to use the garbage matte input on a Matte Control.

The issue looks like the alpha matte is showing through as if a screen overlay. But have an odd issue where in the final merge, the alpha matte is showing through. I am getting close in Fusion using Channel Boolean. Trying to set up a basic inverted alpha matte.
